SOUNDCHECK / TRUST & SAFETY
Privacy Policy
How Soundcheck handles your account, recordings, and community activity.
Draft version 2026-10-25
This document is still being finalized. It is not a published legal policy.
01Who operates Soundcheck
Soundcheck is operated by Nikita Bondarenko as an individual in Poland. For privacy questions or requests, contact mangmagic2@gmail.com.
02Information you provide
We process your email, account identifier, display name, username, and authentication information to create and secure your account. Apple or Google sign-in supplies account information permitted by that provider. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
Your profile may include a biography, images, musical interests, instruments, city and country, and collaboration preferences. We also store practice logs, goals, routines, notes, and recordings you save, plus posts, comments, messages, group membership, invitations, connections, Ideas votes and discussions, and reports you submit.
03Recordings, photos, and location
Microphone and camera access lets you record practice audio or video. Photo-library access lets you choose images or videos to upload. You can deny these permissions and use features that do not require them.
If you choose to use your current location during signup, your device obtains your location and uses a geocoding service to suggest a city and country. Soundcheck saves the city and country you confirm, not a location history or the raw coordinates in your profile. You can enter a location manually or skip this step. Device and geocoding providers may process coordinates under their own policies.
04Who can see your content
Personal practice recordings are private until you choose to share them or feature them as work samples. A shared post or work sample has its own visibility and lifecycle; deleting a private take does not necessarily remove an already published copy. Review your profile, posts, group audience, and shared copies when removing content.
Profile information, posts, work samples, and group content are visible according to the feature and selected audience. Messages are available to the participants. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized operators and service providers may process stored content for operation, support, safety, or legal requirements. Other recipients may save copies of content you share.
05How we use information
We use account and content data to operate the app, save and replay practice, show progress, connect people, deliver messages, manage groups, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and review reports. Infrastructure providers also process technical connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and secure the service.
06Optional analytics
When analytics is configured and you enable the analytics preference, PostHog receives app interaction events, account identifiers, and technical device or session information to help us understand product usage. Analytics starts disabled. Turning it off stops future optional collection; it does not automatically erase events already collected. Contact support to request deletion of previously collected analytics.
The app does not enable session replay or advertising tracking. We do not intentionally include message bodies, recording contents, or passwords in analytics events.
07Providers and disclosures
Supabase provides authentication, database, and media storage. PostHog provides optional analytics when configured. Apple and Google handle their sign-in services, and email providers deliver authentication and support messages. Providers may process data outside your country. Hosting regions, contracts, and applicable transfer safeguards must be confirmed in the final published policy.
We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect people. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
08Retention and deletion
Account data and saved content are kept to provide the service until you remove them or request account deletion, subject to necessary legal or safety retention. Deletion involves database, authentication, and media cleanup and may not finish immediately. Provider logs, backups, and previously collected analytics have separate retention and deletion processes. The final published policy must specify the actual retention periods and exceptions before launch.
You can request account deletion in Settings or by emailing mangmagic2@gmail.com from your account email with the subject Soundcheck account deletion. If you cannot access that address, contact support for identity verification. Never send a password. Groups with other members require an eligible administrator to take ownership before the owner can delete their account.
09Your choices and rights
You can edit profile information, remove content where the app provides deletion controls, manage device permissions, disable optional analytics, block users, or request account deletion. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to processing of your information and complain to your local privacy regulator. Contact mangmagic2@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you.
10Age and policy updates
Soundcheck is intended for people aged 13 and above and is not intended for children under 13. A higher minimum age or parental permission may be required where you live. If you believe an underage person has supplied personal information, contact support. The final policy will identify its effective date and describe any material changes.
